Terms of use

Effective: 5 November 2026

Agreement

These terms are between you and Máté Gozner, Romania (gozner.mate@yahoo.com). By using Guidevox you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

The service

Guidevox lets a guide speak to a group whose phones show and read a machine translation. It's free, with no account and no ads. If paid features are added later, you won't be charged without choosing to pay, and these terms will be updated first.

Machine translation can be wrong

Speech recognition, translation and voices are automated and can misunderstand, mistranslate or miss words. Don't rely on Guidevox for safety, medical, legal or emergency information. Guides stay responsible for what their group needs to know, and should give safety instructions in a way everyone can really understand.

Your responsibilities

Use Guidevox lawfully. You're responsible for what you say or type, for following the rules of venues and local guiding rules, and for having any permission your activity needs. Don't use it to listen to people without their knowledge, to harass anyone, or to send illegal content. Don't try to disrupt other people's rooms.

Not encrypted

Text travels unencrypted across the local network. The PIN controls joining, but isn't a security guarantee, so don't use Guidevox for confidential conversations.

Licence and ownership

You may install and use the app for personal or professional purposes. The name, logo and app remain ours, and third-party components remain their owners': see licences. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that can't be waived.

Availability

We provide Guidevox free of charge and as it is. Which languages work depends on the phone and on third-party models. We may change or stop the app, and it may not work on every phone, network or in every venue.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or anywhere else the law doesn't allow it. Otherwise, as the app is free, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect loss, lost profit, missed or cancelled tours, or the consequences of a translation error. Your rights as a consumer under mandatory law stay in place.

App stores

If you got the app from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app, its support, maintenance or legal claims about it, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. The store's own terms also apply. You confirm you aren't in a country under a US embargo or on a US restricted-party list.

Changes and ending

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and a significant change will be shown in the app.

Law and disputes

Romanian law applies, without taking away protection from the mandatory consumer law of your home country, where you can also bring a claim. Please email us first: most things can be solved that way.
